This look is inspired by Amalgamation. Nigeria is a unique country due to its diversity of ethnic groups. It has over 250 ethnic groups and over 500 languages spoken. Nigeria was formed in 1914 through the amalgamation of multiple territories, engineered by the British.The 1914 Kaftan uses the different shades of a common colour to illustrate the different tribes who have joined together under a common identity, Nigerians.We may not always agree amongst ourselves, but whether it is our Jollof or our identity that is challenged, like siblings, we always unite when it matters. In our differences, there is beauty, but in our commonality there is power.Unity is timeless.
